relationship with the essences is about opening to their wonderful
and enveloping subtleties. How does this
happen?
Orchid essences are made by embodying the intentions of nature in
water through the flowers. The flowers themselves embody the
intentions and focus these into the water when the essence is made.

Earth Mother Nurtures Environmental Essence
Expanding
Relationship with Nature (in Winter and in the City)
I have lived in Alaska since 1976. The winters here are 7 to 9
months long. It is a long wait between growing seasons, for
gardeners and plant lovers. I used to feel somewhat
disconnected from my experiences with essence
making, and communicating with nature when the plant kingdom
went dormant for the winter. I realized that the more I had developed
my intuition, the deeper I felt my relationship with nature. I came to the
point where I was able to open my mind to the life that nature has,
even while it sleeps physically.
The light body of a plant does not stop existing when killing frost
hits in the fall. Whether a plant is an annual or perennial, when it
grows it is following a blueprint; not only its genetic code but
also the light pattern and intention that is responsible for its
physical creation.
While making essences in the summer I tuned my focus into the subtle
essence of the plants, while I also focused on their physical
beauty and form. In winter the only thing different was that the
physical plant was either absent or dormant. I felt free from the
sense of loss I had previously thought existed during the winter
so that I could be in relationship with the plant kingdom throughout
the year.
The wisdom, presence, and power of nature continue to amaze me,
challenging my perceptions and limitations. For example, having
always been close to nature in rural and wilderness settings I had an
unconscious idea that my connection with nature was limited in the city
environment. I felt shocked one day when I was in Oakland, California in an
industrial area as I walked past a very large ornamental plant when I heard
it
request that I make an essence from it. To my mind that just did not compute
because we were in the midst of traffic, buildings and pollution. I was not
open to the possibility at the time. Now, I wonder what I missed out on. It
was not the only communication I received while in that area. Sometimes as
I walked past a certain lemon tree it would ever so softly request that I
take some of its fruits that had fallen onto the ground.
I have come to learn that the power of nature is limitless; the
mind has limitations that ought not to be imposed on nature. We see the
power of nature all the time. Horsetails and dandelions push their way
through asphalt. Have you ever tried to push your finger through asphalt?
How does a tender shoot do so? We live in relationship with nature
even if we are not consciously aware of it.
The Dancing Light Orchid Essences have been made because of this
relationship. Nature knows we are not separate from anything or
anyone. Nature has compassion for the challenges we face on our human
journey and so offers through the essences, to assist us.
Orchid Tip:
Every different type of orchid has different needs. If you eant to
grow an orchid but are afraid you may kill it as many people are,
then take heart, these is an orchid for you.
The first thing to do is to think of where in your house or yard you
would like to grow an orchid. Once you have decided that it becomes
easier, the orchids needs will be a deciding factor. If you can
provide the optimal conditions you won't need to do much and your
orchid will thrive and even bloom.
Orchids come from around the globe and now there are many more varieties
of hybrid orchids because they are now being bred to be easily grown.
You can find out from a local grower which orchids would do well in a
setting you have chosen. Becareful and don't take orchid growing advice
from just anyone. Many an orchid owner has a sad tale because they
listened to a friend or relative. You can easliy gain access to orchid
growing information throughn the internet from orchid grower's web sites
and from books.
Why grow an orchid? If you are drawn to their beauty that is enough reason.
Orchids are beautiful and when they take your breath away with their beauty
they have accomplished all that is necessary. Living with an orchid is
living in relationship with a highly evolved organism. I won't call it
a plant. Try it.
Devic Awareness essence is from a Miltonia or Miltoniopsis orchid, easy to
grow
when you know what it needs, some are fragrant and can bloom for months.
Remember:
Orchids are not to be thought of as plants
Orchids are specific in what they need- if you know what it is and can provide
the right conditions - success
